The stock value of companies listed in Guangdong has exceeded 1.4 quadrillion yuan. As of the end of 2006, there were 162 companies listed in Guangdong, ranking the province first in China.
Guangdong vice governor Songhai said at a conference yesterday (Jan.22) that Guangdong companies are facing a good opportunity to reform their structures and list on the market, as obstacles hindering capital market's development has been eliminated.
