Guangzhou government began to prohibit motorcycle riding on Jan, 1st, 2007 but permitted a 15 day grace period which ends, today (Jan.16), the deadline for the ending of motorcycle riding in Guangzhou. Traffic police will detain motorcycles and strengthen their efforts of management at night. Motorcycle riders will be fined 200 yuan.
