Guangzhou-Foshan Metro likely to start overall construction soon - Guangdong - News Brief

Guangzhou-Foshan Metro is likely to start overall construction this year. According to Luo Yuetang, head of Foshan Development and Reform Bureau, the test section of the metro has been underway since 2002.

As of December of 2006, construction on the trial line and stations had been completed. Guangzhou-Foshan Metro, scheduled to be finished before 2010, is a key inter-city transit between Guangzhou-Foshan urban circles.
