Guangzhou government has lifted the ban on "red-yolk eggs" in the city. All the eggs can come into markets for sale as long as they have passed quality check. However, few citizens are intended to buy.
Shendan "Haotu" Eggs that were proved to contain Sudan Red are now back on selling stands of Wanjia Supermarkets in the city, after being checked by Guangzhou authority as qualified.
Representative of Wanjia Supermarket said that all the eggs have obtained Qualification Certificates issued by the National Bureau of Quality Supervision or the Quality Supervision Bureau of Guangzhou and Guangdong.
The Shendan "Haotu" eggs now are back to markets across the nation, according to Zhang Zengwen, sales manager of Shendan Healthy Food Company from Hubei Province, while Guangzhou is much more cautious than other cities. The eggs are allowed to be sold just recently.
The alleged "red-yolk eggs" were ever recalled and disappeared for more than one month.
