Guangdong Development and Reform Conference was held December 25 and 26 in Guangzhou. According to the conference's statistics, about 98.1 billion yuan has been invested into 162 key projects in the province during the first 11 months this year.

They include Guangzhou Toyota, Maoming ethylene expansion and Guangdong LNG, which have all been recently put into operation. Guangdong continuously refines the industrial structure and stresses the development of industries like electronic information, petrochemicals, machinery and electronic appliances. The province now is able to produce 760,000 automobiles per year and 33.5 million tons of oil per year.
