Five-Ram sculpture
 Dr. Sun Yat-sen's sculpture
 the Guangzhou Uprising monument
Yin Jichang Sculpture Park, the first sculpture park financed by the municipal government, is to open this month after two years of construction.
Copies of the Five-Ram sculpture, the Guangzhou Liberation Commemoration sculpture, Dr. Sun Yat-sen's sculpture, and the Guangzhou Uprising monument will be displayed in the park. 35 sculptures have been made, either the same size as or smaller than the originals.
Mr. Yin, a well-known Chinese sculptor, was born into a wealthy family. He was fond of fine arts since he was a child and studied with many famous sculptors. After the liberation of Guangzhou, he became a member of the South China Art Troupe, and organized the South Art Service Center (later renamed Guangzhou People's Art Center). In 1956, he established the Guangzhou Sculpture Workshop (later renamed the Guangzhou Institute of Sculpture), laying the foundation for the development of urban sculpture in Guangzhou. Dr. Sun Yat-sen's sculpture at his Memorial Hall, the Guangzhou Liberation Commemoration sculpture at Haizhu Square, the Five-Ram sculpture at Yuexiu Mountain, and the Guangzhou Uprising Monument, were done by his hands. In the early summer of 1998, Mr. Yin died of disease.
