Sound of China, a concert featuring 12 famous artists presenting well-known scenes from 8 categories of drama, was held yesterday (Oct 26) in Guangzhou's Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall.
The categories of drama include Peking Opera, Huang Mei Opera, Qing Qiang and Cantonese Opera. Zhang Dejiang, Secretary of Guangdong CPC Committee, and other provincial leaders watched the show.
Zhang said that the concert is one of Guangdong's brand-building activities in its cultural development.
