Typhoon brings shortage of diesel oil in Guangdong - Guangdong - News Brief

Guangzhou now is experiencing a shortage of Diesel oil. Officers with the China National Petroleum Corporation and China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation {Sinopec} said that the typhoon season created difficulties for transporting diesel oil around Guangdong.

The oil strain is expected to be eased after the typhoon season is gone. In addition, Sinopec's storage base of finished product oil in Guangzhou's Nansha district is expected to be completed in the second half of 2007, hopefully relieving the strain on the oil supply in Guangdong.
