The Guangdong Statistic Bureau released a 2005 GDP energy consumption report yesterday (June 10th). The report included data from Guangdong's 21 cities, which were categorized into a series of GDP energy consumption indexes.
The indexes include GDP energy consumption, unit GDP electricity consumption and unit industry added value energy consumption.
The report showed that unit GDP energy consumption of 7 municipal-level cities were lower than the provincial average, the lowest being Shanwei city, which used less than 0.6 tons of standard coal per 10,000 Yuan GDP.
The report will be used as reference for reduction of GDP energy consumption indexes in the 11th five year plan.
