The Sixth Tripartite Meeting of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Expert Group for Prevention and Control of Communicable Diseases opened in Dongguan yesterday (June 29, 2006).
The three regions signed a cooperative agreement for handling public health emergencies. The agreement also finalized the members of the expert team and stipulated specific operational measures.
Because of the tripartite the regions have experience a better communication and improved cooperation when dealing with major issues, especially bird flu prevention.
