A recent test run on the elevated section of line 4 of the Guangzhou Metro has been declared a success. For the first time in Guangzhou, a Metro train has made a run from an underground to an elevated track, representing a milestone in the development of Guangzhou's Metro system.

This important test was conducted to check engineering quality, power supply, tracks, communications and the signaling system; and, coordination between the train and these systems.

Metro line No. 4 line will welcome its first passengers at the end of this year; residents will then be able to enjoy the metropolitan scenery as they travel on the new elevated section.
