A man who purchased a plane ticket for his father shocked staff last week at Guangzhou's Baiyun International Airport, Information Times reported.
The reason for the surprise was that the elderly fellow for whom the ticket was purchased would be unable to enjoy the trip, as he was dead.
Zhong, an overseas Chinese from the United States, had returned with his parents to Meizhou, a city in the eastern part of Guangdong Province, to visit relatives late last month.
But Zhong's father sadly passed away in Meizhou early this month.
To show his loyalty to his father, Zhong still purchased an air ticket for him, although he did not take his father's ashes back with him to the United States.
