Registration for a tour of Keyun Road (the City Expressway) has closed after 1,300 local citizens signed up. Organizers of the tour said that, all those who have registered, which is more than the 1,000 originally planned, will be allowed to join the tour.

In addition to private citizens, four organizations also signed up, these include a digital technology company which registered for 43 employees; the Jiusan Society Guangdong No. 1 Branch, which registered for 11 members; a local hotel, which registered for 100 staff members; and, the cycling team of Guangzhou Senior Citizens' Wellbeing Society, which registered for 50 members.

To ensure the safety of participants, the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Urban Utilities and Landscaping has confirmed the physical condition of four septuagenarians who have signed up.

Participants in the event will receive commemorative medals featuring Keyun Road from the Guangzhou Civil Affairs Bureau.
