According to information with Guangzhou Bureau of Labor and Social Security, Guangzhou is considering increasing the minimum salary standard in accordance with the salary growth in the society.
Guangzhou’s current minimum monthly salary standard is 684 yuan, which is comparatively low compared to the average salary standard. According to a pervious decision of Guangdong government, Guangzhou’s minimum standard is expected to rise to 800 yuan. Guangdong government suggested to adjust Shenzhen’s standard to 850 yuan, taking into account the high income level in the city.
