Xiguan Foreign Language School, Guangzhou's first foreign language school was unveiled on March 31 in Liwan District, Guangzhou.

The predecessor of Xiguan Foreign Language School is Guangzhou No.12 Middle School, a school with a history of more than 50 years and was ranked at the first class provincial level.

"The school will start the enrollment in September. For the first year, we will only recruit 3 classes for junior first and the next year senior first," said Liang Shengxiang, the principal of the school. According the Gong Shounan, the director of the Education Bureau of Liwan District, the Zhongshang Ba Lu Primary School is scheduled to transform into an affiliated primary school of Xiguan Foreign language School in the near future.
