Guangzhou will build an Off-site Data Backup and Disaster Recovery Center to safeguard the information system for the 2010 Asian Games, which will be held in Guangzhou.
The system, known as "Super Brain", collects all Guangzhou's digital information and functions as a backup, in case of collapse of the electronic system during an attack or disaster.
A survey showed that 80% of the companies attacked during New York's 9/11 disaster are not able to recover quickly because of the loss of important business data. Learning from this lesson, the system will act as a backup to secure important information for the 2010 Asian Games.
