A 26-member Wall Street financial entrepreneur delegation visited Zhuhai's Hengqin Island yesterday afternoon (March 29).
The delegation was led by the Chairman of the Board of Las Vegas Sands Corp. Sheldon Adelson and the Corporation's President William Weidner.
Las Vegas Sands signed a cooperative agreement with the Zhuhai Government in San Francisco last October. The Corporation plans to invest two billion US dollars to build up a convention hotel and holiday resort on Hengqin Island.
It has already invited six well-known international architecture companies to come up with a layout arrangement and all the proposals will be handed in to the Corporation on April 20.
This is the first time for Wall Street entrepreneurs to visit the Island and they don't exclude the possibilities of a joint investment.
