In a startup ceremony attended by Vice Mayor Wang Xiaoling, the Guangzhou Industrial and Commercial Yellow Pages (www.gzyp.com.cn) entered service on March 20. The startup of this service demonstrates that industry and commerce in Guangzhou have now entered the electronic commerce era.

To date, Yellow Pages has collected data on more than 300,000 businesses, including holding companies, group companies, parent companies and their major subsidiaries.

The business sectors covered by Yellow Pages include finance, manufacturing, communications, construction, transportation, culture, education and training, recreation and entertainment, health and medicine, farming, forestry, husbandry, fishing, community service, etc.

The yellow pages also offer similar information about government in their listings.
