ICIF to shine with performing art

The International Performance Hall at the Second China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industry Fair, to be held from May 18 to 21, will not only bring together world-renowned performance companies, but also lure visitors with the presence of film stars, scholars and live shows.

Over 200 world-famous producers, agents and performance organizers will be represented during the fair, such as International Management Group (IMG), William Morris Productions, Elite, Entertainment Media Ventures, Swat Enterprises, Oplas Teatro, Delphine Productions, International Brand Equity, Pudovikin Productions, See-Lite, J. P. Entertainment. Delegations from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan will also attend the fair.

"The hall aims not only to introduce to China the world's best live performances, more importantly, it presents China's best live performances to the world. The Macao-based CESL Asia has helped us enlist many overseas commercial performance dealers. It has attracted many domestic art groups to join the fair," said Zheng Weixi, general manager of Shenzhen Performance Company, a sponsor of the cultural industry fair.

So far, more than 500 domestic art troupes, performance firms and media groups, such as 12 Girls Band, Central China Opera Theater and Shanghai Music Company, have confirmed their attendance.

The hall will also offer dance performances, a display of Beijing opera costumes and forums featuring famous authors.
