Guangzhou's Buses to Provide Mobile TV Services - Guangdong - News Brief

Half of Guangzhou's buses will provide mobile TV services by the end of next year. Starting yesterday (Dec. 28th), passengers can watch the current news and weather forecasts in any of Guangzhou's 500 buses operating along 25 routes.

The mobile TV services have received a good response from passengers. They are no longer forced to watch the repetitive advertisements due to the conventional TV signal receiving technology.

The bus mobile TV project owner announced that the 1,500 air-conditioned buses will soon be installed with mobile TV as well. It is expected that nearly 3,000 buses in Guangzhou will broadcast up-to-date TV programs by the end of 2006. Passengers can enjoy the bus TV services without additional charge to the regular fare.
