Guangdong will reduce its water consumption to 200 tons per 10,000 yuan GDP in the year 2010, according to Guangdong Provincial Department of Water Resource.
To achieve the target, the province need to reduce the index by 10% per year, and the experts said a core task at present is to guide local people to build a energy-saving economic growth model and help the underdeveloped areas to start their water-saving effort.
