The municipal planning bureau is soliciting public suggestions on the possible designs for two key projects in the city, the Olympic New Town (ONT) in northeastern Shenzhen and Xichong tourist resort in eastern Shenzhen.

The bureau has posted five designs for the ONT and Xichong resort respectively on its Web site www.szplan.gov.cn for public review.

Citizens can also go to the Guihua Building at 8009 Hongli Road West to have a look at the designs, which are on display on the first floor of the building.

The public review period starts from today and will last until Dec. 14.

Citizens can dial 8394-9411 to voice their suggestions for the final design of Xichong resort, and 8378-8355 for the final design of the ONT. The bureau will consider public suggestions before making decisions.

The ONT, a key part of the city's bid for the 2011 Universiade, will be built in Longgang District. It will cover 13.4 square kilometers.

Xichong resort is a beautiful yet undeveloped tourist site at the southernmost part of Dapeng Peninsula.

The government plans to turn it into a high-class seaside resort with an international conference center.
