Christmas trees are main decorations in this season. In Guangdong, nine out of ten Christmas trees and the accessories are plastic, which are not degradable for years. The fast-food-style celebration brings not only joy but also pollution.

According to a super store stuff, the giant Christmas trees will be reused for many years, but the accessories change in line with 'trends', and most of them are used only one time and disposed.

'The leaves of Christmas trees are made of PVC plastic, and the lighting branches are light-wave-guiding fibers, both are degradable and will pollute environment.'
