Coca Cola input 170 million yuan to set up a soft drink plant in Huizhou, east of Guangdong, with a production capacity of 400,000 tons.

The construction starts on Sep 10th, a month after Pepsi established in Jiedong, locating also in east Guangdong, involving 70 million yuan.

This is the 28th bottling plant and the 34th beverage making plant invested by Coco Cola Company in China.

It is reported that Coca Cola Company settled in Zhanjiang, west of Guangdong in March this year. Correspondingly, as the biggest component, PepsiCo Investment (China) Ltd set up Zhanjiang Pepsi Cola Beverage Co., ltd on Sep 7th.

The moves of the two beverage giants indicate they are actively expanding their service in Guangdong, from the central Pearl River Delta to the east and west parts of the province.
