Guangdong has signed letters of intent on economic and trade cooperation involving more than 15.6 billion yuan (US$) with other pan-delta provinces and regions, a fortnight ahead of a pan-delta trade fair.
Contracts would be signed July 14 at the fair at the Guangzhou International Convention Center when more than 10,000 visitors were expected, Sunday's Guangzhou Daily reported.
Four inspection teams staffed by 561 Guangdong officials toured Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Jiangxi, Fujian and Hainan during May 25 and June 19 and reached initial agreements on contracts worth 15.6b yuan.
The trade fair will feature eight seminars promoting cooperation on industrial parks, mineral resource exploitation, tourism, agriculture, high tech, transport, commerce and service industries, and property rights transfers.
