Another two bodies were recovered on Sunday from a landslide in northwest China's Shaanxi Province on Sunday (Oct 8th), bringing the death toll to five.
More than 600 rescuers are still searching for another seven missing people, but local sources say the mud is three to four meters deep and their chances of survival might be slim.
The landslide occurred at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Gaolou Village of Huaxian County, when more than 50,000 cubic meters of mud and rock destroyed 94 houses belonging to 24 families, leaving 13 villagers buried.
Qu Lei, a 15-year-boy, was rescued at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Villagers living nearby had been evacuated and all the homeless were relocated and provided with rations, said a local official
