Shunde district of Foshan city, well-famed place of Cantonese cuisine in Guangdong province, is awarded with "Home of Chefs" by China Cuisine Association recently, source with Shunde Tourism Bureau on Sep. 22nd. The awarding ceremony is to be held on Oct. 1st.
Shunde cuisine is long being well-known and popular in Guangdong province, however this is the first time for it to gain professional and authoritative title.
Shunde, relevant news make itself quite evidenced that, is the first "Home of Chefs" in Guangdong province, and it is the third to obtain the honor in China, following Changyuan of Henan Province and Lantian of Shannxi Province.
Highlight: Shunde is at a top place with scale, level and brand dishes in cuisine industry among those selected cities in China.
Lin Zepu, vice chairman of International Culinary Culture Research Institute and executive member of the World Association of Chinese Cuisine, says the rapid economic growth of the district brings a booming of catering industry.
There are more than 4300 culinary networks and over 100,000 employees in the district; revenue generated from the industry exceeds 2.9 billion yuan last year.
