The Chinese martial-arts epic "House of Flying Daggers" and the spectacular documentary "Delamu" were formally confirmed as entrants for next year's Oscar Awards.
Chinese director Zhang Yimou's "Flying Daggers" topped 135 million yuan, or nearly 17 million US dollars, at the Chinese box office recently, and won acclaim in Japan, South Korea and the US.

Starring, Zhang Ziyi and Andy Lau, the film will fight it out for the Best Foreign Language Film Award.
The ecological drama "Delamu," or Cha Ma Gu Dao" in Chinese, traces the lives of minority nationlities living in west China's Shangri-La.
