PEOPLE take it for granted that iced drinks can help cool a person down best in hot summer days. But the truth is just the opposite: Hot tea can do the job better.
There are several reasons for the fact that hot tea can cool a person down more than iced drinks.
First, the chemical elements such as pectin, sugar and amino acid in hot tea work better with saliva so that more liquid can be secreted. More secretion makes you feel cool.
Second, hot tea can help increase the flow of urine. As a result, much heat and waste can be taken away from your body.
Third, the caffeine in hot tea can help adjust brain's main center that relates to body temperature. And the volatilization of the fragrant materials in the tea can also help heat to go away from you.
Fourth, drinking hot tea can boost secretion of sweat gland. Thus, much water can come out of the pores taking away the heat along with it.
