This year, Guangzhou is the first stop of the NBA basketball carnival. On April 1, NBA basketball caravans arrived at Hongcheng Square, bringing Guangzhou's NBA fans a three-day festival.

At the square, basketball fans, regardless of age or gender, could have the opportunity to become one of 20 lucky players in each activity. The "Slam Dunk" participants displayed the performance of legendary NBA superstars or their own movements. Each one made two slams in one minute and the scoring was in full accordance with the rules of the All-Star Weekend - Slam Dunk Contest. In another game, participants challenged the shark O'Neill through a PS3. There were also sneaker graffiti competitions, shoelace-tying competitions, and observation & memory competitions. O'Neill products and NBA collections were also available for sale. Moreover, the Portland Trail Blazers cheerleaders brought audiences exciting performances, continuously heating the atmosphere.
