Brazilian soccer player Ronaldo Nazario rejoined soccer club Real Madrid on Monday after a July 15operation on his left knee in a Rio de Janeiro hospital, Real Madrid announced on its web page on Monday.
Doctors had estimated he would take three weeks to heal, but Ronaldo was ready to restart training within two weeks, the Real Madrid statement said.
Before training, Ronaldo was examined by Real Madrid doctors. The knee had undergone microsurgery to clean a calcium deposit.
After the examination, the player went to Real Madrid's gym, where he exercised for nearly an hour under the supervision of Jose Luis San Martin, the club's convalescence expert.
Ronaldo told the web site that he felt "very well" and said that "all is recovering well", adding that he was keen to return to work.
