Brazilian striker Luis Fabiano has signed a five-year contract with Sevilla, the Spanish Primera Liga club said on Tuesday.
Sevilla has agreed the deal with his former club Porto and with the investment fund who own the player's rights.
Fabiano joined Porto in August 2004 from Sao Paulo.
He made his name in 2002 when he was joint top scorer in the Brazilian championship with 19 goals in 23 games, and topped that in 2003 with 29 in 34 games.
He top-scored with eight goals in the Liberators Cup in 2004 as he helped Sao Paulo to the semi-finals.
In March this year Fabiano's mother was kidnapped and held for two months in Brazil, before being released.
