Peking University's New Zealand Center, jointly sponsored by New Zealand's Auckland University and Peking University, was launched on Monday (May 21) afternoon.
New Zealand Foreign Minister Winston Peters, and Peking University President Xu Zhi Hong attended the opening ceremony.
The center was established in part to celebrate the 35 anniversary of China and New Zealand's diplomatic ties.
University president, Xu Zhi-hong, said the New Zealand Center would become an international and open research and teaching resource.
