A park in Guangzhou's Panyu District has sparked controversy among locals by selling quail, chickens and other small animals to park visitors to feed to its crocodiles.
Most of the visitors to the park buying crocodile food are schoolchildren, the Information Times said.
Many locals said that feeding the animals to the crocodiles was too gruesome for children and could have a negative effect on them.
But the park said it was natural to feed the crocodiles in this way as the weak are the prey of the strong in the wild.
