RAVI MUKHERJEE, an Indian man who has been living in Shenzhen for three years, calls himself a "Chinese Indian" and regards Shenzhen as his home.
"I want to do my best to develop the city more and my personal mission is to make Shenzhen a truly international city," said Mukherjee, resident representative and development consultant of Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India.
Mukherjee is organizing an international forum at the Wuzhou Guest House on July 28 on making Shenzhen more international, better organized and more beautiful.
"I cooperate with some Chinese citizens who are interested in the forum and plan to invite more than 300 participants from local foreign businesses to give their views on the topic," he said.
"I have been considered an Indian ambassador to Guangdong Province since I am devoted to building a bridge between India and Guangdong Province. In the past three years, I also did something to develop business relationship between Shenzhen's enterprises and companies in India. I hope Shenzhen will have a more open business environment," he said.
