Sun Tzu's Art of War, an ancient Chinese classic on military strategy, has been printed on gold pages and become an attraction at the fair.
The 56 pages each contain 1.2 grams of gold, with a purity as high as 99.9 percent.
Moreover, the gold-paged book also uses advanced nanometer technology, which will prevent the book from being affected by dampness and worms.
The book was designed by the China Research Society of Sun Tzu's Art of War and published by the Xiyuan Publishing House.
"Master Sun's Art of War is a great cultural treasure not only for China but also for the rest of the world. It deserves to be preserved in this special manner," said Chen Jianbo, a member from the book's editing committee.
"This fair is a good opportunity for us to promote not only our products, but more importantly, our own culture," he said. According to Chen, the gold book is priced at 26,800 yuan (US$3,200) and has been presented to senior foreign officials as gifts.
On November 3-6, the 6th international symposium on Sun Tzu's Art of War was held in Shenzhen.
About 200 scholars from China, Russia, America, France, Japan and other countries attended the symposium, holding in-depth discussions on new applications of the Art of War in fields such as international security, economy and society.
Sun Tzu, a famous military ideologist of the late Spring and Autumn Period (770 BC - 476 BC), wrote the book several thousand years ago, giving a vivid description of his general view on war and categorizing specific schemes useful for attack and defense.
"To break the enemy's resistance without fighting," a doctrine proposed in the book, has been unanimously valued by military commanders around the world.
The books' other principles have also proven to be greatly effective in various areas of society other than warfare.
