Li Cairong washes her face herself every morning. [Guangzhou Daily]
Li Cairong, the world's oldest person, recently celebrated her 119th birthday.
It was only last year that the old lady's family realized their granny was a record-breaker after hearing a news report about the death of a 116-year old Japanese woman. She had got into the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest person.
Li's family has applied for her to take her place in the annals of the Guinness records. Local authorities in Foshan's Nanhai District, Guangdong Province have notarized her birthday as November 12, 1885, reports Guangzhou Daily.
The old lady attributes her longevity to a good living environment, calm nature, and the fact that she has been physically active all her life.
