Opera grandpa attracts a following
Latest Updated by 2004-11-03 09:07:37

A man in his 80s who plays and sings Cantonese operas to entertain himself has attracted a following of over 70 students in the past four years, reports the Southern Metropolis News.

A Guangzhou local, Zhang, plays his own accompaniment on a two stringed-bowed instrument while singing Cantonese opera in the park near his home.

Every Thursday and Sunday, his music attracts friends and those eager to learn the traditional Chinese art.
