Huang Feihong or Wong Fei Hung, a Foshan Kungfu legend born 150 years ago, is the leading role for over 100 Hong Kong Kungfu film. Jackie Chan and Jet Li had both play the role before.

But such a legend lost to his apprentice in a recent competition - a selection of 116 famous people in Guangdong history. Lin Shirong , one of his apprentices, and Chen Xiang, the creator of Cailifo, or choileifat quan boxing, were the only two Kungfu masters among the 116. Source related to the selection explained about Huang's absence, saying the master is not chosen because most of his stories are only folk legends and had not been recorded in books, which made the master not qualified for the selection.

The show featuring the selected 116 people's stories started on May 28 in Guangdong Provincial Museum in Guangzhou, displaying Guangdong's history and culture for the past thousands of years.
