Hongkong Post released here Tuesday a special stamp issue with the theme of "Chinese Martial Arts".

Hong Kong Postmaster General Tam Wing-pong and President of Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China Timothy Fok Tsun-ting officiated at an issuing ceremony Tuesday (May 22) morning.

The "Chinese Martial Arts" issue, composed of four stamps featuring "Southern Lion Dance", "Nanquan (Southern Fist)" , " Northern Lion Dance" and "Beitui (Northern Kicks)", presents a miniature of the versatile Chinese martial arts. A silhouette in gold foil at the bottom of each stamp highlights the martial arts form depicted.

The denominations of each stamp are 1.40 HK dollars (about 0.18 U.S. dollar), 2.40 HK dollars (about 0.31 U.S. dollar), 3 HK dollars (about 0.38 U.S. dollar) and 5 HK dollars (about 0.64 U.S.dollar).
