On May 10th, the Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee officially launched its market development program. The program will be jointly implemented by the Committee designated agencies. Currently one agent that has been confirmed is Japan's Dentsu Inc. It has been learned that the Committee will soon release the details of a sponsorship program. In the second half of 2007, it will announce the first group of partners, and release a line of licensed Asian Games mascot products.
The Market Development Program mainly involves issues regarding sponsorship sales and services, franchising (including postal products, commemorative coins and other souvenirs), ticketing and community donations, said Fang Da, Deputy Director of the Committee's Market Development Department.
The details of the program will be made available later. In the second half of this year, the Committee's first group of partners will be revealed and a line of licensed Asian Games mascot products will be put on the market. The licensed products will be fully integrated with Chinese culture, Lingnan characteristics and Guangzhou elements. Also a donation hotline will be opening soon.
