To mark National Cultural Relics Day, various events are planed in Guangdong, according to a provincial cultural relics protection meeting held yesterday (May 11).
State Council has decided that every second Saturday in June will be China's National Cultural Relics Day. This year the National Cultural Relics Day falls on June 10. Exhibitions, forums and lectures on cultural relics are being planned to celebrate the day.
The meeting also announced the first batch of 78 provincial-level Intangible Cultural Heritage items, including Foshan paper cutting, Hakka folk song, Guangdong embroidery and herbal tea.
