It was announced that the first Huiyang Hakka Food Culture Festival will open Friday (Dec. 30th) in Huiyang district's Danshui town, Southeast of Guangdong's Huizhou city.
Organized by Huiyang District Government, Huizhou Tourism Bureau and Guangdong Tourism Association, an opening ceremony and a project signing ceremony will raise the curtain of the festival.
Visitors will be invited to try the local food specialty, "Danshui crisp meat ball" and view the flower car parade. They can also attend the beer carnival and take part in the trip to tour around Huiyang. The festival will last until Jan. 3rd, 2006.
