China has published a photo album recording the scene of trial of Japanese Class-A war criminals by the International Military Tribunal for the Far East after the World War II.

The album, in both Chinese and Japanese, contains more than 150photos and pictures, which is divided into two parts: massacre on Chinese people by invading Japanese troops and crimes of 14 Class-A war criminals.

"No one can deny that justice was done by the tribunal," said Peng Xunhou, an illustrator of the album and also Secretary General of the Chinese Institute of the History of World War II.

The album, titled "The Trial of Justice", was published by the New Star Publisher affiliated with the China Foreign Languages Publishing and Distribution Administration.

"The historical facts of the war served as evidence during the trial," Zhou Mingwei, deputy director of the administration, said, "Today, they serve as reminders of history and a call for peace."

This was one of the series of events launched in China to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the victory of Anti-Japanese war. Early this month, China began showing films featuring heroic deeds of the Chinese people in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in cinemas nationwide.

Statistics show 35 million Chinese and 3 million Japanese died during the 14-year war, which broke out in 1931.
