Latest Updated by 2005-03-16 14:47:07

A collection of Roman-era gold, a set of magnificent gold necklaces, crowns and coins dating back to the second century were put under the spotlight Tuesday when Cairo's 102-year-old museum launched a program to give prominence to many of its neglected exhibits in new monthly displays.

Among the newly discovered treasures is this golden bracelet with an orange agate medallion set in the front dates back to the 2nd century A.D.
