Yangfan's Paintings (2003-2006): Born in 1970's, Yangfan is a young artist who has always portrayed young, modern women in her works. Starting from the later part of the 1990's, she started to pay special attention to the problems of self-realization and cultural background of the new generation of women in the transition of China's society.

The principal part of her paintings is focused on the image of women of the new generation. Yang's paintings go beyond the external languid, weary, bewitching body postures of modern women to make the text of "Her" self. Yang's paintings reflect a feminine angle and strive to play a role in breaching traditional feminine norms.
