On the first evening of Lunar Year (February 18), the White Swan Pool Spring Festival Fireworks Celebration Evening will come on with a brand new novelty. In order to display a real representation of the eight attractions of Guangzhou through fireworks, the authorities concerned have put to use computer graphics as well as specially designed fireworks of coco, fishes, butterflies and other images.
The Guangzhou Municipal committee of CPC and the Guangzhou People's Municipal Government resolved to hold the 2007 Guangzhou Spring Festival Fireworks Celebration Evening on the Pearl River surface of Bai'etan, Tianhe District from 20:30 to 20:55 on February 18 (First Day of Lunar Year) , 2007. 35 public transportation routes in the neighborhood will be adjusted temporarily from 19:00 to 22:00. On the Pearl River itself, there will also be temporary traffic control established.
The whole Fireworks Celebration Evening is composed of three movements with varied music and fireworks. The eight New Guangzhou attractions of Baiyun Mountain, the Pearl River at Night, New Look of Yuexiu, the Ancestral Temple of the Chen Family, East Train Station Square of Tianhe, Huanghuagang 72 martyrs Cemetery, Guangdong Olympic Stadium Center, and Ocean View at the Lotus Hill will be displayed in the second movement of "Charming Guangzhou", which will no doubt be the most attractive highlight. It is said that to display the eight attractions of Guangzhou, the coco, fish and butterfly fireworks will all be used to achieve the best effect.
