Fine Arts Exhibition
Latest Updated by 2005-01-05 11:26:53

The 10th National Fine Arts Exhibition is now being held in Beijing, featuring about 600 works and so far attracting about 2,000 visitors a day since it's opened.

Traditional Chinese painting 'Wuhua', or 'Splendor of Objects', which won the first prize in a national fine arts competition, has received attention because of its experimental use of propylene in the paints pigment.

Held every five years, the exhibition covers categories such as Chinese oil paintings, prints, sculptures and murals.

The Exhibition is the largest of its kind and an important review of fine arts development in China.
