Zhongshan Inspection and Quarantine Bureau will adopt a new POS (point of sells) system to provide an easy payment method for inspection fees, this month. Users can pay fees through several easy steps. The system was test run at the Tanzhou office in April this year, and the bureau plans to introduce it to 3000 related enterprises in the city by the end of this year.
The new system was urgently needed as exports and imports through Zhongshan have increased substantially in recent years. The implementation of the new system will shorten the inspection time, and provide businesses a safer and more convenient way to pay inspection fees, enabling the Bureau to handle about 1000 loads of cargo daily.
