According to Shenzhen daily, five Guangdong cities, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhongshan, Foshan and Zhaoqing, won national award for improved public security Monday (May 23rd).
President Hu Jintao attended the meeting at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing to honor organizations and individuals for making outstanding contributions to improving public security.
The award was given based on comprehensive public security work from 2001 to 2004.
